Start by digging a hole that’s the same depth and width as the catch basin you are installing. It is vital to ensure that the depth of the hole is six to twelve inches deeper than the drainage catch basin since you’ll need the space later on. The next step involves digging a declining trench that is eighteen inches deep and eight inches wide from the catch basin, allowing you to place the piping where water will run. Before installing your drainage catch basin, ensure that the connection between the catch basin and the outlets is watertight by applying silicone around the outer side of the bay.

Once you’ve done this, flip the catch basin and drill several holes in the bottom of the bay to prevent water from standing at the bottom of the basin. The connection between the two needs to be reinforced with a silicone bead around the outside of the drainpipe. Finally, glue each section of the drainpipe together until the point where water drains.
